Energy Healing FAQs: Your Questions Answered

a stone kept in a sand

Energy healing is a holistic practice that activates the body's subtle energy systems to remove energy blocks. By breaking through these energetic blocks, the body's inherent ability to heal itself is stimulated.

The body's energy centers, including the seven chakras, have been studied for thousands of years. Chakra healing focuses on these energy centers to promote balance and well-being. Reiki, the Japanese tradition of energy healing that dates back to the early 20th century, is one of the most recognized forms of this practice. Meridians, the energy superhighways of the body, guided traditional Chinese medicine practitioners in developing acupuncture.

GeoLove Healing, based on Sacred Geometry and Love, is a method created by Oliver Niño, known as the Spiritual Activator. This approach utilizes various complementary modalities to clear energy blocks, remove negative energy, and refill the body with positive, healing energy. It effectively addresses both emotional and physical issues.

Ancient cultures employed different modalities to stimulate the body's natural healing abilities, all recognizing the power of internal energy.

Energy healing is based on scientific principles. We learned in high school that matter is composed of vibrating molecules. Just like a solid table, humans vibrate as well. When you say someone has "good vibes," you are referring to their vibrational energy, and happy individuals tend to vibrate at a higher frequency.

Places have vibes too. If you walk into a room where a fight has just occurred, the dense energy may make you want to leave. Conversely, the beach has a light vibe, thanks to the salt (a natural energy cleanser) and moving air, which vibrates at a higher frequency.

Anyone can benefit from energy healing. Just as you don’t need to understand the law of gravity to fall down, you don’t need to fully grasp energy healing before diving into the practice. Any time is a good time to visit an energy healer; I recommend going in with an open mind for maximum benefit. If you're feeling stressed, anxious, or physically drained, an energy healing session can help you relax and feel more balanced. Even if you're already feeling good, there's always room for improvement.

It's important to note that energy healing is a complementary modality that should not replace any Western medicine you may be taking.

There are many types of accessible energy healing modalities. Each one employs slightly different tools and techniques. Here are a few you might know:

- Acupuncture: This technique uses small needles to stimulate the flow of energy in the body.

- Reflexology: This modality promotes healing by freeing blocked energy and stimulating pressure points on the feet, hands, and ears.

- Massage: Even massage is considered an energy healing practice, as it releases muscle tension, encourages lymph flow, and facilitates deep relaxation.

You can maintain your energetic health from home. Just as you shower and brush your teeth every day, you should also be cleansing your energy regularly. After visiting an energy healer, keep the good vibes flowing by taking a bath in Epsom or pink Himalayan salts for 20 minutes whenever you feel heaviness creeping back into your body. Smudging, or burning sage around you, can also help clear negativity from your energy field. Lastly, crystals have their own healing properties that can help give your energy a boost.
